Kamal Nath recommended for pro-tem speaker: Naidu

The Congress MP, who was the former Parliamentary Affairs Minister, was elected to the Lok Sabha for the ninth term from Chhindwara in Madhya Pradesh.

The name of Congress MP Kamal Nath was recommended to the President as the pro-tem Speaker Parliamentary Affairs Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said on Wednesday.

“We have recommended to the President, Kamal Nath’s name as the pro-tem Speaker,” Naidu said after taking charge as the Parliamentary Affairs Minister.

Kamal Nath, former Parliamentary Affairs Minister, was elected to the Lok Sabha for the ninth term from Chhindwara constituency in Madhya Pradesh.
