April 25, 2011 03:50 am | Updated September 27, 2016 02:38 am IST - NEW DELHI:

Former Commonwealth Games (CWG) Organising Committee chief Suresh Kalmadi is likely to be questioned by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Monday in connection with alleged irregularities related to the Queen's Baton Relay, sources in the agency said.

Mr. Kalmadi, MP, had earlier been summoned to the CBI headquarters on April 15 but he had to go out of station on that day. He was again called on April 19 but failed to make it.

The sources said that clarifications are needed from Mr. Kalmadi on issues in connection with alleged irregularities in hiring AM Films and AM Car and Van Hire Limited during the Queen's Baton Relay held in 2009. The issues came to light during the visit of a two-member CBI team to London.
