The former Telecom Minister, A. Raja, and the ex-Telecom Secretary, Siddharth Behura, will be asked to depose before the Joint Parliamentary Committee examining the 2G spectrum scam, though the dates have not been finalised.

The JPC has already decided to summon all former Telecom Ministers and Secretaries to collect evidence on the telecom policies followed from 1998 to 2009.

A formal decision to summon Mr. Raja was taken at a JPC meeting here on Wednesday.

Since both Mr. Raja and Mr. Behura are in jail, the JPC panel will write to the prison authorities informing them that they are required to depose before the panel.
