Shibu Soren, who is all set to become the next Chief Minister of Jharkhand, on Monday said the new alliance comprising JMM, BJP and AJSU will provide a stable government in the mineral-rich state.

“Jharkhand needs a stable government and we are confident of providing one,” the JMM chief said at a joint press conference with BJP president Nitin Gadkari here.

Mr. Soren said he was aware of the functioning of Mr. Gadkari and was confident that the alliance will work well.

“While Jharkhand is a mineral-rich state, the people there are poor. It is a paradox...a stable government can help improve the situation,” Mr. Soren said.

On his part, Mr. Gadkari said all the alliance partners will evolve a common programme for governance in Jharkhand.

He said the Soren-led Government will take oath of office on Wednesday.

“We will ensure all-round development of the state,” he said.
