Army jawan found in possession of grenades at Srinagar airport, arrested

Bhopal Mukhiya was arrested by the anti-hijacking force and taken for questioning.

An Army jawan was on Monday arrested from the international airport in Srinagar for possession of two hand grenades.

Bhopal Mukhiya of the JAK Rifles, who is posted at Uri, was taken into custody after the recovery of the grenades during a search at the main gate of the airport, an official of the anti-hijacking force said.

The jawan is being questioned, he said.
