Former BJP leader Jaswant Singh was discharged from Army Research and Referral hospital here on Tuesday, four months after he was admitted with severe head injuries.

“Jaswant Singh is in minimally conscious state and having unassisted breathing. He has been discharged for supportive care at home,” Defence Ministry officials said. They said Mr. Singh’s heart rhythm and BP are normal.

The 76-year-old leader was admitted to the hospital on August 8, after his family found him lying on the floor in an unconscious state.

Mr. Singh, who was in coma, had been on life support system. At the hospital, he was being given total parenteral nutrition which delivers nutrients intravenously.
