An Army man and a militant were killed in a gunfight in Kukergund-Yaripora area of Kulgam district in south Kashmir on Monday afternoon.
Dharam Ram, soldier with the Rashtriya Rifles, was critically injured in a militant attack that soon turned into a gunfight. He was immediately shifted to a hospital where he later died. In the exchange, police said a militant was also killed after he was cordoned off in an orchard.
