Industrial Safety training in 16 states

The Industrial Care Alliance Training Institute(ICAT) promoted by the city-based industrial safety solution provider ‘Sure Safety’ is planning to open 21 centres in 16 states including Gujarat to offer training in industrial safety.

Talking to newsmen here on Monday, director of the company Nitish Dand said there is a big gap between demand and supply for qualified safety professionals and the company will try to bridge it.

He stated that five of the 21 centres will be started in Gandhidham, Vapi, Surat, Ahmedabad and Vadodara as huge industrial development has been taking place in these cities.

At present industries across Gujarat need 12,000 qualified safety personnel and after implementation of Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor project, the demand would go up further.

He said ICAT is the only internationally accredited health and safety institute to offer training in safety. It has a tie-up with the UK-based National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health to offer a comprehensive range of globally recognised, vocationally related qualifications.
