Indian war heroes coming to small screen

April 20, 2015 12:09 am | Updated 10:11 am IST - Mumbai:

An animated book series on Indian war heroes will be adapted for the small screen, say its authors, Major-General G.D. Bakshi and his son, Aditya Bakshi.

War Heroes of India , which was earlier published as a series of graphic novels and comic books, will be made into a 52-episode animated series, Major-General Bakshi said.

Every 22-minute episode will be dedicated to an inspiring story of Indian heroes like Major Sandeep Unnikrishnan, who sacrificed his life in the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, and many other brave hearts, he said. The TV series has been planned for an all-India release in Hindi and regional languages.
