I’m not Modi’s man, says Krishna Iyer

“I’m not Modi’s man,” the former Supreme Court judge, V.R. Krishna Iyer, said here on Friday.

“I will praise anyone who does good work, be it Nehru or Modi,” he said, on his recent words of praise for the BJP’s prime ministerial candidate.

All for solar power

“Mr. Modi has harnessed solar energy in his State and I’m for solar power. Nuclear energy is devastating, is cancerous, said Justice Iyer at a Meet the Press organised by the Ernakulam Press Club to felicitate him on his 99th birth year.

But, he added, if Mr. Modi’s policies were wrong, there would be criticism too.

Asked whether Mr. Modi was a better candidate for Prime Minister, Justice Iyer said, “I do not know.”
