The results of the ICSE Class X and ISC Class XII examinations for 2017 were announced on Monday and the southern region has fared best in the country.
A total of 1,75,299 candidates appeared for the ICSE examinations and 98.53% passed out. Of the 73,633 students who took the ISC examinations, 96.47% passed.
The ICSE and ISC schools abroad recorded 100% pass.
In the ICSE results, Muskaan Abdula Pathan from Pune and Ashwin Rao from Bangalore secured 99.4% and were the joint toppers.
The ISC topper was Ananya Maity from Heritage School, Kolkata, who secured 99.5%.
The pass percentage for the ISCE and ISC went up by 0.3 % and 0.1 % respectively.
The results can be viewed online on the website of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations at www.cisce.org . After logging in to the website, the candidate should click ‘Results 2017’ and select the relevant examination.
Schools can access the results via the ‘Careers’ portal of the Council using the Principal’s login ID and password.
Students can also access their results via SMS, by sending a text message to 09248082883 . The message body of the text should mention the relevant exam followed by the candidate’s seven-digit Unique ID. For example – ICSE 1234567.
The Council has also made a provision for candidates to apply for rechecking of marks through the same website. The online module for submitting a request for rechecking the results will remain open for only seven days from the date of declaration of the results (from May 29 to June 4).
