Senior Congress leader Arjun Singh, whose Madhya Pradesh government's role in facilitating the departure of the former Union Carbide chief, Warren Anderson, from Bhopal in December 1984 has come under the scanner, has said that reports appearing in a section of the media about this are not correct, according to a senior journalist who met him today.
Santosh Bhartiya, Editor of Chauthi Duniya and a former MP, who met Mr. Singh here, quoted him as saying that he was perturbed over reports about his alleged role in facilitating Mr. Anderson's exit. He had done his job in the best manner under the circumstances, he is reported to have said. According to Mr. Bhartiya, Mr. Singh said he would speak on the matter at an appropriate time.
