As the second day of the three-day “symbolic fast” drew to a close on Friday, yoga guru Baba Ramdev upped the ante against the UPA government on the issue of black money, corruption, and the Lokpal Bill, targeting the Prime Minister. Reminding the government that it had just one day to respond to his demands, the yoga guru announced that he wouldn’t move from Ramlila Maidan without concrete action on his demands.
Addressing a large gathering, Ramdev said Prime Minister Manmohan Singh needed to go beyond his personal honesty and become “courageous enough” to recover black money stashed away in foreign banks. “We need an honest Prime Minister. I want the Prime Minister to demonstrate his political honesty and political will on the issue of black money.”
He claimed that the government had a list of people who have kept money in foreign banks. “We don’t want the names of those people, but at least disclose the amount. What is the problem in it? Why is the Government so reluctant?” said Ramdev, who estimated it to be to the tune of 40 trillion rupees.
“Time for parties
to take a stand”
“We have spelt out our agenda,” said Ramdev, adding, “It’s time for the political parties to take a stand. Till they do, we won’t leave from here. The UPA government needs to tell the country of its stand on black money and corruption. We will give them time till tomorrow.”
Connecting terrorism, naxalism and farmers’ suicide with black money, Ramdev said once black money was brought into the country again, these problems will be solved. “Once black money is returned to the country we will have great educational institutions, first-class hospitals. Naxalism and terrorism are the two big issues. The root cause is black money.”
The crowd, which had come from States around Delhi and afar, cheered Ramdev every time he raised a slogan, but few of them seemed aware of his campaign. Nagendra Singh has come to the Ramlila Maidan to support the agitation from Western Uttar Pradesh because he thinks Baba is “fit enough” to take up a campaign against corruption and return black money. “I am a follower of Baba. Even though his base is mainly yoga, only he, with his popular support among masses, can lead the agitation,” said Mr. Singh, who is a school teacher.

Political will needs support. Then inclination. The Prime Minister on
his own volition doesn't enjoy support of required MPs. Moreover why
single him out? Let all the MPs raise their voice in support of action
for bringing back the black money stashed away in foreign countries. In
the next election, if UPA wins, it will be status quo in this matter. If
any other group wins - still it will be status quo.
Our admistrative establishment is the prime foundation of corrupt practices, of course, the political establishment and its supportbase- the middlemen profit makers ofthe business houses are the next. It is a system related problem probably Baba is blind to it.
The last paragraph is very interesting and speaks a lot about his
'agitation'. After all, the only credible thing they have is the crowd.
Dear Ramdev,You are partially right in calling for courage's act as,
The primary objective of Parliamentary Democracy is to eliminate arbitrary action of the State machinery and being the leader the PM
is duty bound to lead from the front to eliminate corruption of all
means, and is not out of reach, his personal honesty is measured by his public stance alone, which shows he is acting to the tunes but not to create new wave.
The President of India can take an initiative by promulgating an ordinance to compel the proceedings to clear the pause in greater interest of the State is not out of reach to achieve the object of
elimination of corruption at instant.
Keep up your struggle Ramdev Jee. We are with you.
Your moderation process to reject comments of opposite thoughts than
yours are rubbish. Grow up & take a neutral
stands!
That's right, bring back the black money and solve all the problems in one go! --- Black magic!!!
Guruji, please, why don't you just do your exercises? And, don't forget to first give a full account of how you own so much land?
DearGuru Ji, I would request you to continue to fight on Black money. Raise your voice in all possible ways, We fully agree that India needs this money for better development of our country. I would pray god to provide full courage to you to fight againist this issue till track to closure. As a Citizen of this country our morale supoport is always with you.
The last time around, when this effort from Ramdev had gained huge momentum and had almost brought the entire nation together, the ruling government cracked it down illegally. Goons were employed to set the stage on fire along with full police protection. Hope this time, this battle is decisive and people unite behind this cause. There is no sign of any effort from this government in bring back the black money.
Dear Ram Dev Sir, I would request you to continue to fight on Black money. Raise your voice in all possible ways, We fully agree that India needs this money for better development of our country. I would pray god to provide full courage to you to fight againist this issue till track to closure. As a Citizen of this country our morale supoport is always with you.
ALL THE BEST.
Is anybody listening to him????Why there is very less news about his campaign ??
Should we beg, cry, request with folded hands to the Prime Minister of
India to bring back the black money stashed away in foreign lands? That
is his fundamental duty and if he fails to do that he will not be shown
any respect by the common people of India, once he is out of power.
