Expelled Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh on Sunday said he might float a new political party by the end of March.

“I want to set up a new party which will give the message of love to the people,” he told journalists here after addressing a rally of the Chattriya Mahasabha, a non-political body.

Mr. Singh said he would consult his colleagues in this regard during a convention of the Mahasabha in Delhi on March 28. “After consulting my colleagues, I may float a new party.”

“I have appealed to the Muslims and backward classes to support me,” Mr. Singh said.
