The Uttar Pradesh Police on Wednesday conducted searches at the native place in Chandauli of the Varanasi Sankatmochan bomb blast case accused in the aftermath of the explosion in New Delhi. A search was carried out at the house of Shameem at Launda-Jhansi in Mughalsarai, Additional Superintendent of Police Rajesh Kumar said here.
Villagers said the mobile phones of the family members were confiscated. In Lucknow, Special Director-General of Police Brij Lal said Shameem had been absconding for the past four years.
