The BJP is not overly enthused over the impending change of regime in Islamabad and would wait for Nawaz Sharif to deliver on his “promises” of strengthening India-Pakistan relations.

BJP president Rajnath Singh said that while the democratic transition of government in Pakistan was a welcome development, his party hoped that the agenda for peace and stability in the region would not be “hijacked by vested interests operating from Pakistan”.
