This refers to the report Lt. Governor ‘advised’ to decide soon on CBI plea on Tytler, Sajjan carried in The Hindu on December 15. The Ministry of Home Affairs has clarified that the four cases pending sanction of prosecution by the competent Authority do not relate to Mr. Jagdish Tytler.

In his statement, the Home Minister had said with reference to the sole case against Mr. Jagdish Tytler that “in one case after the completion of investigation, charge-sheet was filed in the court on 28.09.2007 and final report under Section 173 of the Cr. P. C. was filed in the court on 28.03.2009, which is under consideration of the court.”

The Home Ministry statement said the other cases do not relate to Mr. Tytler. “In his statement as well as in clarifications, the Home Minister has said that four cases are pending with the Competent Authority for sanction of prosecution. In fact, no reference was made to Mr. Tytler while referring to the four cases.”
