An inmate of the city’s Presidency Correctional Home here allegedly committed suicide in the small hours of Sunday.
“Alok Mullick (61) who was convicted in a murder case in 2002 hanged himself from the ceiling of the toilet around 1 a.m.”, said a senior official of the Correctional Home.
Mustak Ahmed, Chief Controller II of the Correctional Home, said depression may have led to Mullick’s suicide.
