There will be no sitting of Parliament on August 23 in view of the Onam festival of Kerala. This was announced by Parliamentary Affairs Minister P.K. Bansal.

He told journalists that as compensation Parliament will sit on Saturday (August 21). The slot for private members' Bills, scheduled for Friday, will be moved to that day.
