June 29, 2016 03:48 am | Updated November 17, 2021 01:38 am IST - Srinagar:

The militant group Hizbul Mujahideen on Tuesday warned of attacks in New Delhi if ‘innocent civilians were targeted’ in Jammu and Kashmir.

“[Security] Forces harass and target civilians and such tactics will have serious ramifications. If they continue to target innocent civilians, then militants will spread their net in New Delhi and will strike there,” said Hizbul chief Syed Salahuddin in a statement issued to news services here.

Salahuddin, who according to the statement chaired a meeting at an undisclosed location in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, praised the militants for intensifying their attacks on the security forces in Kashmir.
