Historic, says Yeddyurappa

Karnataka Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa termed the verdict on the Ayodhya title suits historic. “I hope everyone will welcome it with an open mind.”

Mr. Yeddyurappa said the verdict had done justice to the followers of all faiths. It was hoped that everyone would extend cooperation in building a Ram temple respecting the sentiments of the majority of Indians. In this situation, “I fervently appeal to all the citizens of Karnataka to cooperate with us in maintaining peace, order and harmony. I also request the media not to publish, broadcast or telecast any provocative reports or live debates and cooperate with the government in maintaining law and order.”
