Himachal Lokhit Party, a breakaway faction of Bharatiya Janata Party, has decided not to merge itself with the parent party and to adopt an equidistance policy towards both major political parties.
After a core group meeting of the party here on Monday, party president Maheshwar Singh has put aside all speculations and decided against the merger and denied his fighting the Lok Sabha elections as a BJP candidate from Mandi Parliamentary seat.
The party core group has decided not to fight the coming general elections and has extended its support to the Aam Aadmi Party or the third front candidates.
