A Division Bench of the Kerala High Court on Monday directed the State government to file a report on the stampede that claimed 102 lives at Pulmedu near Sabarimala.
The Bench, comprising Justices Thottathil B. Radhakrishnan and P.S. Gopinathan, also directed the highest officers in the police and forest department, as well as the Travancore Devaswom Board Commissioner, to file reports on the tragedy.
The court asked the government to explain how it managed the situation after the accident by extending help to the injured and stranded pilgrims at Pullupara and surrounding forest areas.
