Hideout busted in Poonch

Army troops busted a hideout near the Line of Control and recovered a cache of arms and ammunition in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, police officials said.

During a search operation launched by the troops of 52 Rashtriya Rifles last night in forward area of Janta Morh-Sabzian near the LoC in Poonch district the hideout was busted, they said, adding the recoveries included one UBG launcher, one Rocket Projectile Grenade, one AK rifle, ten magazines, 160 rounds of Pika ammunition, 203 rounds of AK rifle and two grenades.

In another incident, security forces today arrested a militant supporter in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir, police officials said.

Acting on a tip off, security forces arrested Abdul Salam, the militant sympathiser, in Thanamandi area of the district.
