While Dausa police have arrested Hema Malini’s driver for the accident, the actor-turned politician’s tweets further upset the family of Hanuman Khandelwal.
Mr. Khandelwal’s two-year-old daughter Sonam was killed when Hema Malini’s Mercedes collided with the Alto of Khandelwal family injuring him, his five-year-old son, his wife Shikha and his brother’s wife Seema.
‘What rule did I break?’
Mr. Khandelwal told reporters that he had not violated any traffic rules, and claimed that Hema Malini’s Mercedes was overspeeding at more than 100 km per hour. “I had my indicator on. I saw the road was clear and then took a turn. What traffic rule did I break? Was I speeding? Her car was at 150 plus speed. She is a big name but must at least think before speaking,” he told reporters.
