HC grants pre-arrest bail to T R Baalu's son

The Madras High Court on Friday granted anticipatory bail to T.R.B. Raja, DMK MLA and son of former Union Minister T.R. Baalu, who apprehended arrest in a case registered by the Vaduvur police in Thanjavur district.

Justice A. Arumughaswamy granted the relief at a special sitting. The case related to the alleged demand for removal of AIADMK flag post from a place and the abuse of a person. Following a complaint, the police registered a case. Fearing arrest, Mr. Raja filed the advance bail application.

Granting conditional anticipatory bail, the Judge said Mr. Raja should report before the Judicial Magistrate-1, Tiruchirappalli, till April 23.
