As fresh cracks appeared in Team Anna after the expulsion of Mufti Shamum Kazmi, Anna Hazare on Monday said there is no rift in the group over the “leakage” of information or yoga guru Ramdev.

In his first reaction after the expulsion of Mufti Shameem Kazmi after he was allegedly found recording the proceedings of Core Committee meeting in Noida in U.P., Mr. Hazare said that there is no fallout over the issue.

“There is no rift. What rift are you talking about? A team member who leaked information yesterday, there was a problem. People in our team had asked why he did so. So he said he would not come back,” he told reporters.

“If there was a rift, they would have been fighting and there is no fallout,” Mr. Hazare said.

Mr. Kazmi has claimed he quit the camp as the group was turning anti-Muslim.

Mr. Hazare also said there were no differences in the team over the participation of Mr. Ramdev in the anti-corruption movement.

“Right now, for over a month, I will tour Maharashtra. He has our support in his campaign against black money and we have his support on Jan Lokpal. We are all fighting together on tackling corruption,” he said.

He said during the all-India tour, he and Mr. Ramdev will share stage wherever they meet. However, he said, there will be no joint tour.

His comments came amid growing unease in Team Anna over the “one-up manship” of Mr. Ramdev, with whom they had stitched an alliance to fight for the cause.

There were discussions on Team Anna’s association with Mr. Ramdev, whom a section of the activists’ believe has a “credibility crisis” due to allegations levelled against the yoga guru.

At the meeting on Sunday, it was reiterated that there will not be a joint campaign with Mr. Ramdev but the two sides will extend support to each other in the fight against corruption.

Team Anna member and lawyer Prashant Bhushan said, “We have begun a movement against corruption and on that pretext, Ramdev supports us but we have no common platform or any consensus.”

“We do have a consensus regarding these issues and common concerns regarding the country,” he said.

Team Anna is a sham by itself. Moreover they fail to understand that the public is not committed in the act against corruption. If they were, they wouldn't have voted for the corrupt politicians in the first place. And when it comes to individual, they still and will bribe and make use of whatever crooked ways to get their job done.

It could be true that Anna is loosing some ground but not because of their agenda but because some of our passimist folks started thinking that nothing can change Indian politicians. They are corrupt, decoits and what ever people do .. they are not going to change. That is the main resaon for Anna loosing some ground. But i want to remind people that when we gave our support to Anna first time. Corrupt politicians were shaken up .. so don't loose hope there is saying 'UMMED PAR DUNIA KAYAM HAI'. So don't loose hope and try even harder, lets try to find out what went wrong and how can we get rid of these dacoits sitting in Indian parliament and playing with our future.. give even bigger support to Anna ji and i am sure our golden days are yet to come and how soon they will come is up to us. Jai Hind ....

Mr. Hazare: “no differences in the team over the participation of Mr.
Ramdev in the anti-corruption movement … He has our support in his
campaign against black money and we have his support on Jan Lokpal. We
are all fighting together on tackling corruption”. Mr Bhusan: “[IAC
is] a movement against corruption …. We do have a consensus regarding
these issues and common concerns regarding the country.” IAC movement
is based on common-cause and friendship, and it makes perfect sense to
form alliances for the limited purpose of ANTI-CORRUPTION with all who
want to support it. “The two sides will extend support to each other
in the fight against corruption, will share stage wherever they meet,
no joint tour” – ALL PERFECT ANSWERS.
The movement shows no hatred or aggression towards any section of the
Indian community, nor is it violent. Beneficiaries of plunder and
corruption have every vested interest to discredit and break-up the
movement - supporters of IAC know and are vigilant.

After Mumbai Incident where Anna failed to mobilize people and after Delhi police's barbarian act on Ram dev's supporters in Ram leela Maidan, Both of them know that they need each other's support. Ramdev has the capacity and resources to mobilize millions in any part of the country at the same time Team Anna has the resources to give direction to Ramdev's movement. At a time when suddenly some section of electronic & print media (on government's pay roll) has become suspicious over credibility of Team Anna and Ramdev, It makes sense for both of them to join their hands and fight it out with the Government.

I think Anna's team is lacking in support of people.Anna team is
responsible for this rather than other.Remember when Anna has come alone
first time in Delhi against corruption then not only Delhi but entire
country had come with him but after that some actions or steps of Anna's
team deteriorated public support.Again Anna team is going to take one
more such step by adding Ramdev in his campaign.

Judging from the way the press and the media are hounding the Anna members to
ferret out information they can distort to do their best to put down the movement,
it's not surprising the person concerned had to leave for providing information on
the core committee's meetings without their consent and on his own initiative.
As Dr. Kiran Bedi (ten times national award winner) says this will only strengthen
the movement to have the right people who are truly with the group.

All sections of the people rallied behind Anna because they trusted him. The common man, whatever be his religion, is affected by corruption and he does not think of religion or community when he protests. Mean-minded people like Mr Kazmi make such shameless comments because of their craven nature. It is unfortunate that they create stereotypes ("I am targeted because I am a muslim") that blame an entire community unfairly.
