Sikh devotees across the country marked the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak on Nov. 2, 2009. The day was marked by religious observances at the Golden Temple in Amritsar, Sikhism's holiest shrine, and at gurudwaras all over India. Sikhism was founded in the 15th century by Guru Nanak.
