Gowda: Nation has lost an intellectual

The former Prime Minister, H.D. Deve Gowda, has condoled the death of the former Prime Minister, I.K. Gujral. In his passing away, the nation has lost an intellectual, a scholar-statesman and a gentleman politician, Mr. Gowda said. Mr. Gujral was an inborn freedom fighter, who had the traits of a politician, Mr. Gowda, under whose prime ministership the former had worked as External Affairs Minister, said

“His Administrative qualities were seen by me when he was my Cabinet colleague during 1996. It was during this time India tried to have better ties with its neighbours,” the Janata Dal (Secular) president said.
