Goods train derails in Telangana

A rake of a goods train derailed near Bibinagar Railway junction in the wee hours of Tuesday causing delay in running of trains in the section.

Speaking to The Hindu , Railway Inspector G.Janakiramulu said the train derailed at 1 a.m. on Tuesday.

He said several trains, including the Narasapur Express, Manuguru Express and Nagarasol Express were delayed for about two hours due to the derailment. These trains were halted at various stations where the passengers were forced to wait until the traffic was cleared. 

The goods train, with empty wagons, was proceeding to Secunderabad from Warangal. Railway officials said there was no loss of property. Acting swiftly, railway engineers put the rake back on the tracks within a couple of hours and cleared the traffic.
