‘Goa yet to send report to MHA’

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) is still awaiting a detailed report from the Goa government on the alleged sexual assault charge against Tehelka Editor-in-Chief Tarun Tejpal, even after over a week of seeking information from the authorities concerned in Panaji.

“We have asked for a detailed report from the Goa government,” Minister of State for Home R.P.N. Singh told journalists on Friday. He, however, evaded questions about allegations that Mr. Tejpal was trying to evade arrest and not surrendering before the Goa police.
