The NCP today condemned as ‘anti-constitutional’ Bihar BJP leader Giriraj Singh’s ‘ >back Narendra Modi or go to Pakistan ’ remark. “This statement violates the poll code, Indian Penal Code and Constitution,” Majeed Memon, Rajya Sabha member and NCP secretary, said in Mumbai.

“It is not only mischievous, notorious but tends to create disharmony and cause unrest in the country.

In view of the fact that such a dangerous statement is carried on the front pages of leading newspapers, it has become necessary for the Election Commission to act forthwith and cancel Mr. Singh’s candidature.

“At the same time it has become inescapable duty of both BJP chief Rajnath Singh and prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi to publicly condemn the statement, disown the same loudly and issue public apology,” he said.
