One person has been arrested and remanded in police custody till August 27 on the charge of being involved in the gang rape of a 22-year-old woman here.
Residents of the posh Golf Garden informed the Jadavpur police station of the incident.
Late on Friday evening, a group of youths overpowered the woman, took her to a construction site and allegedly began sexually assaulting her.
The residents who heard her screams rushed to her rescue.
