Bharatiya Janata Party chief Nitin Gadkari on Wednesday said he was ready for a probe into all allegations against him but why was Robert Vadra, Congress president Sonia Gandhi’s son-in-law, not prepared for an inquiry into the charges against him?

“Why is the Congress party not investigating Robert Vadra? I will fight a legal battle and come out clean.”

Reiterating that he had no truck with Nationalist Congress Party supremo Sharad Pawar, nor did he have any business relations with BJP MP Ajay Sancheti, Mr. Gadkari rejected India against Corruption activist Arvind Kejriwal’s accusation that he was involved in the Maharashtra Irrigation scandal.

“Mr. Kejriwal’s allegation that I grabbed farmers’ lands is patently false. These farmers, who I have been accused of cheating, are now sharing the dais with me. I have always worked for the welfare of farmers in Vidarbha,” said he said, speaking to a large group of BJP supporters on his arrival at the Mumbai airport in the morning.

Assailing the Congress, he said the long-pending Gosikhurd project was to have benefited more than three lakh farmers in Vidarbha. “But it has been made out that I have been writing letters to the Centre in order to secure funds to pay off contractors involved in the project. This is totally false and we will give a fitting reply to our detractors,” said Mr. Gadkari, even as Income Tax department officials raided different locations of his Purti group of industries.

Reiterating that the allegations levelled against him were attempts by the media in collusion with the Congress to tarnish his image, Mr. Gadkari said though his name was dragged into the Adarsh controversy, the Maharashtra government found nothing incriminating against him.

If the BJP and its President are corrupt, will it make the Congress and its royalty clean
and honest? It is the Congress and the family that runs it who rule the country today
along with some smaller parties. Let us talk about their alleged corruption first and
then we will talk about others.

What difference BJP has made when serious allegations are levelled against their party president Gadkari. How credible is their claim for anti-corruptionism. As a layman I see no difference between Gadkari and Vadra nor any difference in Congress & BJP when it comes to Corruption.

We must take a pragmatic view of these things. That way no one (including you and me) is totally straight forward. But the level of corruption is what matters. The present UPA took the corruption level to an altogether new height where lakhs of crores was the order. This will make 9 and is already making ) a huge dent in the common man's pocket. We should not get diverted by small digressions where people take shortcuts to save some IT or escape some rule. I think the present case of Gadkari falls in that catagory. Something obscure was dug up regarding Kejriwal even, which is most rediculous. We should fight cases where public money has been swallowed and the nation suffered because of these e.g. Irrigation, Coal, 2G etc.

Mr.Gadkari of BJP, is a seasoned politicians and he fully knows,as to how to handle any situation and Mr.Kejriwal, entered politics yesterday and he must a dust in the eyes of conngress and BJP,and even other non congress parties.Let Kejriwal now form a political party to face the election before accusing all political parties, however authentic it may look, all will be washed away once the election dates are announced.Anna hazarey do not want any position nor to start any party toing the gandi line at present.

Mr. Nitin Gadkari is no ordinary individual. Question is why should some one else provide information about the sources of funds invested in the shell companies of Mr. Gadkari? He himself should come forward with detailed information.
Citizens feel that probes take a long time. Income Tax department would not normally disclose its findings; ministry of company affairs too would not let citizens know whether the addresses of directors in various shell companies provided in the respective company’s statutory returns were indeed bogus. Hence right thing for the BJP president to do is to disclose all appropriate information- (a) the true owners of the shares in shell companies and (b) sources of funds of investments made in his main company, Purti Sugar and Power Ltd. Once such information is disclosed, citizens would decide whether a section of the media is making false allegations against Mr. Gadkari or indeed he is at fault.

It is high time that the BJP dumped Gadkari. Gadkari's scams and dubious sources of funding have hit the BJP's credibility when it talks agaisnt the corruption of the Congress led UPA.

The BJP lost a lot of face when they failed to rein in Yedurappa & the Bellary Reddys in Karnataka, earlier. If they had taken prompt action earlier and even sacrificed their Karnataka government, they could have retained the moral high ground
