A special CBI court in Ghaziabad on Wednesday fixed May 21 for beginning of arguments on framing of charges against dentist couple Nupur and Rajesh Talwar in the twin murders of their daughter Aarushi and domestic help Hemraj.
Additional District Judge S. Lal fixed the date for beginning of the argument on framing of charges in the 2008 murder case, rejecting Talwars’ plea for a month to study the prosecution documents before beginning the arguments. Special Judge Lal rejected their plea stating that the Supreme Court had ordered expeditious trial.
The court also asked the CBI to provide all documents related to the case to the Talwars by Thursday evening as the defence counsel claimed that the agency was not providing them requisite documents.
“The CBI has relied on 141 documents in the case but now they are saying that they are not relying on more than 96 documents. The court has directed them to provide all the documents by 8.30 p.m. tomorrow,” Talwars’ counsel Manoj Kumar Sisodia told reporters.
He recalled that the court had on May 14 ordered the CBI to provide documents to them by Wednesday.
While Rajesh Talwar is out on bail, Nupur was taken into custody on April 30 by a Ghaziabad court. She had surrendered before the court on a direction given by the Supreme Court after her repeated failure to appear before the court to face trial in the murder case.
Fourteen-year-old Aarushi was found dead with her throat slit at her Noida residence on May 16, 2008. The body of the domestic help was recovered from the terrace a day later.

You both are wrong. Her own parents murdered her and the servant, destroyed all evidence, and called up the police. Please read the full story before making such uninformed comments.
And why? Because the parents were agitating for the police to solve the case - the
police who had destroyed all the evidence through their negligence. To shut up the
parents, they have been charged and the mother put in jail.
This is how the police operates in India: First, they do nothing. And when they are
pressed to do something, they victimize the victims even more. This case has
highlighted how the police and CBI blunder through an investigation. I wonder how
many more innocent people are suffering in jail.
Raise your voice against injustice - otherwise, someday you and your family may not
get justice when you need it. Fight the corrupt police and CBI. And remember that
the universe has ears - it is listening. Don't slander the dead - what you give to
others may one day come back to you .
I pray to God that there will be justice for Aarushi and her parents.
Rest in peace, little angel Aarushi! You were a bright star who will be remembered
and loved by many.
de mortuis nil nisi bonum
This Latin phrase translates to "Of the dead, speak no evil"
It is a basic tenet of human decency that no ill should be spoken of the dead.
Especially so in this case when a 13-year old child's life was so cruelly snatched
away. The police and the CBI lack any morals and sense of decency. They viciously
made up stories about this child who could not even defend herself. is there any
justice left? Have these people responsible for such outrageous conduct been held
responsible?
One lie leads to another. The whole premise of this case against the Talwars is built
on a lie - a slanderous, vicious character assassination of a child. It has no legs to
stand on. A mother left without her only child has thrown into jail to face murder
charges against the child who was her heart and soul. How heartbreaking is that?
And why? Because the parents were agitating for the
