The Central Bureau of Investigation, which is probing the Jnaneswari Express derailment, arrested one more person at Khemasuli in West Bengal's Paschim Medinipur district late on Friday.

He is the fourth person to be arrested in the case.

A joint team of the CBI and the police arrested Bholanath Mahato for his alleged direct involvement in the sabotage of the track, which resulted in the derailment of the train in the early hours of May 28, killing 150 people.

CBI spokesperson Harsh Bhal told The Hindu from New Delhi that Mahato was a member of the Maoist-backed Police Santrash Birodhi Janasadharaner Committee and was part of the team that removed pandrol clips from the track on the night of May 27. Mahato was remanded to police custody for 10 days by a Jhargram court on Saturday, he said.
