The Army on Tuesday said it has killed four militants in an ongoing operation in north Kashmir’s Kupwara.
“Four militants have been killed killed in the gunfight. The operation is still going on,” said Defence spokesperson Colonial Rajesh Kalia.
An operation was launched in Arampora of Kupwara district immediately after “an Army area domination patrol was fired upon by militants in the Arampura-Halmatpura belt”.
“The troops reacted swiftly. A contact was established at around 3.30 p.m.,” the spokesperson added.
The Army could not immediately identify the slain militants.
