March 20, 2013 01:28 am | Updated 01:28 am IST - NIZAMABAD:

The Dichpally police arrested five men belonging to Hyderabad for teasing a Norwegian woman in a tourist bus bound for Shirdi on Monday night.

On a complaint lodged by the bus driver, the police took into custody Vijay, Uppal Chander, Chitram Ranjith, Raidurgam Saikumar and P. Sudarshan Reddy — aged between 23 and 30 — and registered a case under Sections 290, 506, and 507 of the Indian Penal Code. They were remanded in custody for 14 days and lodged in the district jail.

Sub-Inspector Naresh said the 23-year-old woman, who was on an all-India tour, boarded the Andhra Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation bus in Hyderabad on Monday evening.

Noting that she was alone, the men, who were drunk, started teasing her. On reaching Dichpally, the driver complained against them, he said.
