Fire in Income Tax office

Seven labourers today sustained injuries when a fire broke out in the Income Tax Office here.

The blaze broke out in the fourth floor of the D-shape building at 11.15 am when some labourers were engaged in wood work.

Sixteen fire tenders were rushed to douse the flames and the labourers were rescued, fire officials said, adding they received minor injuries.

The blaze has been brought under control.

The reason behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
