A final decision on the contentious Telangana issue would be taken after detailed consultations with leaders of both Telangana and Seemandhra regions at an “an appropriate time and place”, Union Health Minister and Congress in charge of Andhra Pradesh affairs, Ghulam Nabi Azad said on Saturday.

A meeting with leaders and representatives of the regions had already been held, the details of which “cannot be discussed”, Mr. Azad said.

However, “we will again shortly hold a dialogue with the ministers, legislators, MPs of the regions after which we will also seek the opinion of the opposition leaders on the issue”.
