Mocking the Gandhi family over land deals, Mr. Modi asked if there was anyone who could earn Rs. 50 crore in three months without investing a single paise.

Narendra Modi on Monday launched a blistering attack on the Gandhi family by raking up the controversial land deals involving Robert Vadra in Haryana.

Addressing a rally attended by large number of farmers at Jhajjar in Haryana, the BJP prime ministerial candidate slammed the Congress government in the state as well as at the Centre for taking the farming community for a ride and “usurping” their land and selling it off at “dirt-cheap” prices.

“If in Haryana, it is the father-son duo who are doing the business, in Delhi, it is the mother-son duo. As if it was not enough, the son-in-law (damadjee) has also entered the scene,” Mr. Modi said.

“The farmers are scared that the Government is going to take away their land and sell off their lands at dirt-cheap prices to the agents. Farmers have to sell their land at throw away prices due to deeds of your jeejaji (brother-in-law),” he said.

Mr. Modi said due to the land policies of the Haryana government, “a person without even a single paisa could earn Rs 50 crore in next three months. Shehzaade (Rahul Gandhi), what are these policies through which you have given land to your jeejaji.”

Mocking the Gandhi family over the land deals, Mr. Modi asked if there was anyone in the rally who could earn Rs. 50 crore in three months without investing a single paise.

“Is anyone among you a magician who knows such a trick? This trick is known only to Shezaade’s family,” he said.

Making a direct attack on Rahul Gandhi over his recent pitch against politics of anger and decorum of speech, Mr. Modi said, “Congress is finished. Shehzaade says we do not do the politics of anger. I want to say that gone are the days when they could do this as it is the time of politics of anger by the people of this country.”

“They have done the politics of anger for 60 year. Misused CBI to target their opponents and now their days of doing politics of anger are over. This time the anger of people is so much that the anger of nobody else will work,” he said.

Continuing the attack on Gandhi, Mr. Modi said, “You teach us the language of decency and decorum. It was you who humiliated the Prime Minister of the country when he was away in the US and tore away a Cabinet decision in front of journalists just for self glorification.”

“You humiliated your own party’s Prime Minister and did not keep the dignity of the post and now you are giving sermons to us,” he said.

Seeking to project himself as the representative of the common man, Mr. Modi once again referred to his humble origins comparing it with that of Gandhi’s lineage.

“He (Rahul Gandhi) was born with a golden spoon whereas I grew up selling tea on railway platforms. He has a well-known lineage whereas I am honest,” he said.

He asked the people to vote for a “servant” for the first time in independent India and asked for 60 months to run the country as the nation needs a strong and stable government.

The BJP leader evoked the name of Arya Samaj founder Swami Dayanand Saraswati to strike a chord with masses in Haryana where the Hindu social reformer had worked for a long time.

“I belong to the land where Swami Dayanand Saraswati was born and I have come on the land where the name of Swamiji creates energy. I have very deep relations with you,” he said.

THE HINDU, please stop being Modi's mouth piece. SHAME ON YOU.
Everyday something or the other is written about him in your paper.
Stop being part of the propaganda machinery. How can we trust you
anymore? Live up to what you were;Unbiased reports. But, now, you
lost your respect. If this is what Modi can do to a respected
newspaper, shattering its moral and standard for his selfish gains,
we cant imagine to what extent he will go to satisfy his greed for
power and authority masked under the development garb.

What about the land acquisitions and the complaints made by the farmers
in his ruled state Gujarat? What is the actual agricultural growth in
Gujarat? How many number of farmers' suicide actually happened in
Gujarat? Why the official figures by his govt don't portray the actual
deaths? Lastly for what reasons the economic data was removed from the
Gujarat state govt website?

I can see the propaganda machines working in the below comments. i live in Gujrat and barring one land acquisition all the land acquisition processes has gone smoothly and the farmers are very happy on the return they got. I agree about one of the acquisition is facing protest but don't make it into a propaganda. You cannot satisfy everyone all the time. Rest is yoyur choice if you want to keep on your colored glasses.

Be this as it may, the recent issue of the acclaimed magazine Frontline, contained reports that the Gujarat Government is acquiring fertile agricultural lands in Dholera from farmers, by imposing its decision on them, in order to set up inter alia a cement manufacturing unit. While Mr. Robert Vadra is 'notoriously' famous,it appears that the Gujarat government is no different. Both need to be investigated.

responsible for promoting dynasty and we are responsble for voting for the family.

This man takes the cake. He is guilty of usurping land of thousands of
farmers in Gujarat and handing over to tycoons like Ambanis, Adanis and
Tatas at cheap rates. What hypocrisy to talk about farmers'lands in
Haryana when he is grabbing huge tracts of farmers'lands in Gujarat to
give to Adanis who are providing him with `round the clock helicopters
for his election campaigns. Whatever he accuses the Congress of, he
himself is guilty of including communalism, admitting and keeping
corrupt and goons in the party etc. Stop this doublespeak.

Does Modi know that just a few days back his own Government had to back step the land acquisition for SIR at Hazira near Surat? The proposed land is fertile and belongs to to thousands of farmers and Modi wants plastics, cars, and hazardous chemicals to grow in it. Enough of hypocrisy, Mr. Modi.

Politicians should have some sense and shame. Unfortunately, most of our politicians are lacking this. They are insensitive. May God save and protect India.
