Ex-serviceman among 4 held for ISI links

Four persons, including an ex-serviceman, were arrested on Sunday from West Bengal’s Darjeeling district for having links with Pakistan’s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

“Two persons were directly associated with the ISI, while two others served as linkmen,” the Superintendent of Police, Darjeeling, Kunal Agarwal, told The Hindu over telephone.

All the arrests, including that of ex-serviceman Magan Bahadur Singh, were made from the Garidhura area under Kurseong sub-division of Darjeeling district, the police said. The other three arrested are Gopal Biswakarma, Dhan Kumar Pradhan and Mesho Suriya. Three more have been detained.
