Enough is enough, says Deve Gowda

Janata Dal (Secular) supremo H.D. Deve Gowda on Thursday said he was not in favour of the continued disruption of Parliament over the Opposition demand for a joint parliamentary committee probe into the 2G scam.

“Though the JD(S) is one of the 12 secular parties pressing for the demand, the Opposition should not persist with the demand and continue to stall Parliament over the issue. The Opposition should give up the demand if the government does not accept it. I understand the compulsions of running a coalition government as I have also run it,” he said.

He claimed that many BJP leaders were talking about stalling Parliament even in the next session if the government did not give in to their demand. “I am totally against it. Enough is enough.” He had conveyed his opinion against the disruption of Parliament to the 11 other parties, the former Prime Minister said.
