2 militants killed, soldier loses life in Bandipora operation

Police sources said the militants' bodies and their weapons have been recovered.

The Army on Thursday morning said it killed two militants in an ongoing operation in Bandipora's Pannar area. One soldier lost his life in the exchange of fire, an Army spokeman said.

Police sources said the militants' bodies and their weapons have been recovered. Their identities and group affiliation was being ascertained

The operation was launched on Saturday last, when ithe militants and the Army exchanged brief gunfight in the Raynar forests of Panar area. And the the Army has been combing the area since then.
