NCP, CPI(M) willing to participate in EVM challenge, says ECI

While AAP and Congress raised some issue, the BJP, CPI and RLD expressed their interest to observe.

The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Friday said that eight political parties sent their response to the poll panel over the EVM challenge till 5 pm.

The NCP and CPI(M) have expressed interest in participating in the EVM challenge.

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Congress raised some issue but as per existing framework of challenge they said they are not participating

The BJP, CPI and RLD expressed their interest to observe.

The All India NR Congress has written to the poll panel that they are not participating.

The EC said it couldn't entertain RJD's application since it reached them via email after the cut-off time.

Initially, the commission said only NCP has expressed interest in the challenge. Later, it clarified, "on rechecking of all papers and annexure submitted by CPI(M), it has been found that they have expressed their interest in participating in EVM challenge.
