Retired Air Chief Marshal S.P. Tyagi was on Friday questioned by the Enforcement Directorate for the second consecutive day, while his three cousins were interrogated by the CBI along with another accused in the AgustaWestland VVIP chopper case.
The ED asked Mr. Tyagi about his four Noida-based companies and their functions. The agency has also sought the financial records of the companies. He was also asked to share information on the financial dealings with the companies run by his cousins Sanjeev, Sandeep and Rajiv Tyagi.
Two of their firms got funds from Carlo Gerosa and Guido Haschke in the form of consultancy fees. The ED also examined Narayan Bahadur, who worked as a driver for British middleman Christian Michel.
According to the CBI, Sanjeev Tyagi allegedly admitted that he along with his brothers had financial dealings with the two middlemen. However, “he remained evasive on other details,” officials said.
“Lawyer Gautam Khaitan, another accused, also concealed information on the the transactions with the two middlemen. He has been summoned again for questioning, along with the Tyagi brothers,” said a CBI official.
