Dog bites ex-cop, named accused in police report

“Abhiyukt Kuttey Hain” (the accused is a dog), says a report lodged in a police station in Bulandshahr district of Uttar Pradesh.

In an unusual happening, police have registered a case against a stray dog for biting retired sub-inspector of Delhi Police Vijay Singh on February 13.

A case has been registered under section 289 (negligent conduct with respect to animal) of the IPC at Gulaothi Police Station here, Circle Officer Shailendra Singh Rathore said.

The retired cop had lodged a complaint that he was bitten by a stray dog, he said. Investigations were on, the Circle Officer said.
