Transparency International activists staged protest outside State Assembly premises

Transparency International activist Ajay Dube, along with his team, sat on a daylong silent protest on Thursday here against the Madhya Pradesh government for not disclosing the “Emotional Quotient” of State Ministers.

The protest, held outside the old State Assembly premises, was protest against the government's “shameful, anti-transparent attitude”.

Mr. Dube had sought information regarding the EQs of Ministers of the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government from the School of Good Governance and Policy Analysis (SGPA). The EQs of the Ministers were tested by professionals over a two-day workshop organised in the hill town of Pachmarhi in 2009, just a year after the Bharatiya Janata Party won power in the State for the second consecutive term. The workshop, jointly organised by the SGPA and IIM-Indore, was meant to assess the Ministers' EQ in order to boost their efficiency.
