Dipda Darwaja massacre accused gets bail

October 18, 2010 10:26 pm | Updated 10:26 pm IST - AHMEDABAD:

The Gujarat High Court on Monday granted bail to the former BJP member, Prahlad Gosa, an accused in the Dipda Darwaja massacre. Eleven people were burnt alive in the Dipda Darwaja locality in Mehsana district during the post-Godhra communal riots in 2002.

Though Mr. Gosa's bail plea was opposed by the State government and the Supreme Court-appointed Special Investigation Team probing the case, Justice R.H. Shukla granted the bail. Mr. Gosa has been charged with instigating a mob for rioting.
