A day before taking oath as Maharashtra Chief Minister, Devendra Fadnavis met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president Amit Shah and Union Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari here on Thursday.
The newly elected leader of the BJP Legislature Party in Maharashtra thanked the party leadership for reposing faith in him to head the new government.

The 44-year-old leader from Nagpur, which is also the hometown of Mr. Gadkari, drove straight from the airport to the Union Minister’s residence and had lunch with him.
The swearing-in will be held in Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Friday.
The Prime Minister, the party president, Cabinet Ministers and the Chief Ministers of BJP-ruled states, besides business leaders, actors and celebrities, will attend the swearing-in.
